Description:	Approx. Start Date: Tuesday 25 February 2025 *(Applicants will receive confirmation of actual start date by text)* This course has been developed in conjunction with the County Cavan Board of the GAA to support PROs and other staff in clubs around the county to develop skills in digital media design using CANVA. Canva is a free-to-use online graphic design tool you can use to create professional: social media posts posters flyers postcards presentations logos As well as infographics, newsletters, brochures, certificates, invitations, online meeting backgrounds and more On this six-week course, you'll learn how to create many of the above elements. You also learn: The differences between free and paid Canva, and decide which is right for you. How to navigate around the Canva app with ease How to create designs from scratch How to choose the right dimensions for your design How to create a background for your design How to add photos or pictures into your design How to edit photos in Canva How to add text and change it in Canva How to create eye-catching designs for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn that will help you get noticed on social platforms How to use templates How to publish your design How to use colours in Canva and develop a brand kit How to create a presentation How to create animated GIFs for social media Although this course is primarily aimed at those with an affiliation to the GAA, we welcome applications from anyone interested in upskilling in this area. Projects will be orientated, however, to the types of tasks carried out by those managing promotions, public relations and social media for GAA clubs.
