| Description: | This QQI Level 5 Special Needs Assisting component module enables learners to work effectively as special needs assistants and gain an understanding of the skills required to ensure children they are working with become independent learners. They will learn to work under the direction of the teacher and work as part of the multidisciplinary team. Topics covered include: context of special needs, good practice, relating to people with special needs, relating to other stakeholders and special needs assisting skills. Days: Tuesday (In class) & Thursday (Online) Duration: 6 week course. Time: 18:30-21:30pm. > Learners are advised to have work experience sorted prior to start date. You will be required to complete 30 hours in a SNA setting. > On Night one, please ensure you bring Photos ID and proof of address for Garda Vetting purposes. > Any materials required will be an additional cost, however optional Please ensure you have organised Work experience prior to the start date. |
