| Description: | The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the
knowledge, skill and competence in the theory and practice underpinning the education and care of those who present with special educational needs to enable the learner to assist in the provision of this education and care. Assessment: Project 50% Skills Demonstration (during placement) 50% Full attendance is expected Important information: If interested in this module please enrol asap as Garda vetting will be necessary if accessing a public childcare setting for observations. All information re Garda Vetting and placement will be provided to enrolled learners by email. Access to the observation of children with special needs is a requirement of this module. Entry requirement: QQI Level 5 Award in Childcare/ Special Needs Assisting preferable but not essential. |
