This introductory course in Irish Sign Language (ISL) is designed for anyone interested in learning to communicate with members of the Deaf community. Delivered in partnership with the Sign Language Association of Ireland (SLAI), the course offers a structured and supportive environment to begin your ISL journey.

You'll develop essential signing skills, learn about Deaf culture, and build the confidence to use ISL in everyday conversation. SLAI is committed to improving access and communication among Deaf people through research, training, and national and international networking with ISL teachers and tutors.

This course supports the positive growth of ISL by promoting high-quality teaching standards, and contributes toward the professionalisation of ISL instruction in Ireland.
