This course is perfect for animal lovers interested in starting a career in grooming or working in pet care. You'll gain the knowledge and confidence to carry out a variety of grooming techniques for small animals in a professional grooming facility.

Learn to interpret animal body language, manage coat and skin health, and work safely with grooming tools. You'll also explore hygiene, health and safety standards, and how to interact professionally with both animals and their owners. While this is a practical course, students at Level 5 will not clip body shapes.

Through examination, observation, and communication with pet owners, you'll plan and carry out grooming procedures using suitable tools and products for different coat types. The course also develops your ability to recognise abnormalities in skin, nails, and ears, and maintain high standards of hygiene and welfare.
