This advanced course is designed for learners who have already completed the QQI Level 5 Animal Grooming module and want to take their skills to the next level. You will refine your grooming techniques for a wide range of dog breeds and coat types, while also gaining essential insights into animal health, salon management, and client care.

Learners will explore grooming challenges such as handling nervous or debilitated dogs, identifying skin and coat conditions, and providing accurate, helpful advice to pet owners. The course also covers the daily realities of running a grooming business including planning, finance, marketing, customer service, and legal
responsibilities.

This course promotes independent learning, strong professional conduct, and the ability to work safely, skilfully and confidently in a grooming salon environment.

Students must have completed the QQI Level 5 Animal Grooming module to enrol

80% attendance is compulsory to successfully pass the course

Completing this module leads to a QQI Level 6 Minor Award in Animal Grooming and supports progression into senior grooming roles or starting your own grooming business.
