QUILTING Quilted Autumn - An introduction to Appliqué. Appliqué is a very old sewing technique that involves stitching smaller pieces of fabric onto a larger one to make a pattern or design. It has been used all over the world with many different names for thousands of years. This versatile technique can be used in many different ways such as, adding interest to clothes, quilts, table runners and cushions. In this class we will make a decorative cushion with an autumn theme. I will explain the different methods of appliqué, show how the process works and guide you making your own appliquéd cushion cover.
