Description: | This course equips learners with the skills to identify training needs and design targeted, effective training programmes in line with organisational goals. You'll learn how to assess gaps in knowledge, skills and attitudes using tools such as interviews, surveys and performance reviews. Topics include adult learning theory, instructional design models (such as ADDIE and Bloom's Taxonomy), motivation, and evaluating training outcomes. You'll also explore internal and external factors that influence training needs, including legislation, organisational change and technology. This module is one of two that make up the QQI Level 6 Special Purpose Award in Training and Development (6S3372). To achieve this award, learners must complete both modules, Training Needs Identification and Design (6N3325) and Delivery and Evaluation of Training (6N3326), earning a combined minimum of 30 credits in line with QQI award requirements. This course is a key component of the nationally recognised Train the Trainer qualification. |
